My Review:
This brilliant new story grabbed me from page one and I just kept thinking, 'watch out Twilight!!!' This novel is totally compelling and introduces readers to a new world-  decedents of dragons, the Draki. This unique species has a special ability to transform from a dragon form to a human form to protect its identity not only from other humans, but from a dangerous group of hunters that threatens to destroy them.

The story begins with a very special Draki, Jacinda, a free spirit who constantly tests the boundaries and rules set by her pride to protect her and the rest of the Draki. On a forbidden daytime flight through the mountains of their home, Jacinda and a friend stumble into trouble when they are suddenly being chased by hunters. Jacinda is nearly captured when found in a cave by one of the hunters. Fortunately for her, this hunter has a conscience, and leaves her life spared, totally unharmed. She finds herself in grave danger once again as the pride threatens to punish her for her actions and is forced to flee to hide among the humans. She is in turmoil finding it necessary to hide her true nature and living without her pride. Now, just as things can't get any worse, Jacinda finds herself confronted once again with the very hunter that spared her. Jacinda’s curiosity about the feelings she can’t deny for this enemy hunter force her to choose whether she still seeks to escape her people or find her way back to them.

The story was magnificent and I can hardly wait for the next book in the series. I look forward to learning more about the Draki culture and the adventures Jacinda will continue to face on her journey for a safer pride. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that is as fascinated by the supernatural as I am.

You know you need to read this book!

  1. Glad to hear that you liked Firelight so much! Love the new twist on dragon mythology and the idea of a forbidden romance between a Draki & a dragon-hunter. :)
