My Review:
Cal Randall, foreman in charge of the Lost Nugget Ranch has just hired a new accountant to help him with the piles of paperwork he has allowed to get out of control. But when Riley Mason, the nerdy, new, supposedly male accountant, shows up everyone is stunned to find a beautiful young woman. No one is more taken with the newcomer than Zane McCord, eligible bachelor and the town heartbreaker. Riley can’t deny her instant attraction to the cowboy either, but she plans on trying her best to stay away as she has for the past four years from every man to keep her and her daughter safe.

Riley and her daughter Summer fit in perfectly to the McCord family and their way of life. Riley is finding it hard to keep her emotional wall up to this amazing family and even distance herself from Zane. Riley’s past is too dangerous to involve anyone in and soon she finds that she is not as safe as she thought as her past has followed her all the way to Montana.  She is left with no choice but to tell the McCord’s her disastrous past and the threats that have followed her. The McCord’s jump in feet first to help Riley and Summer stay safe and break her free of the secrets she has been running from.

As most romantic suspense novels, the storyline was magnificent, the characters were intriguing and the climax of kept me flipping the pages. I have to say that I really enjoyed this book! One complaint- The very peak of the plot, it fell a little short. The entire story leads up to this major event and within minutes the moment is over and everything is wonderful again. I just felt there should have been more focus or attention given to that event that we worked up to. I did though love the flow of the story and plan to read more work by this author. Romance junkies will love this one- and though there are two books that precede it, this can be read as a stand alone novel.

Books in this series in the order that they should be read:
1. Montana Legacy
2. Montana Destiny
3. Montana Glory
