By following her heart, she might lose everything--including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?
My Review:Brace yourself, I'm about to rave and rant about the absolute obsession I have with Nightshade. I can't even explain it. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer is absolutely captivating, totally compelling - I never stopped turning the pages until I was finished. Not only is this a refreshing new take on werewolves, but Cremer blew life into the pages of this book- the characters seemed so pragmatic within their feelings. I care about every single character... and the ones I don't care about- I hate! You know you have some brilliant villains if you can hate them.
Calla is destined to be with Ren, but as the time draws near she isn't so sure she can take the path her pack has chosen for her. She is one dangerously bad-ass heroine and her world is about to be upturned. Cremer created a love triangle that creates major competition for all other authors- I was INTO this love triangle. Calla can't decide and I was dieing to choose for her. (I'm in love with Ren.) The secondary characters were magnificent too... there is a lovely assortment of diverse characters for you to fall in love with.
This book made my heart ache, I was so torn. Hooked from page one. The ending killed me- I am clawing at the wall waiting for the second book. Take an emotional roller coaster ride with Calla, Shay, Ren and the rest of the crew- READ this book. Everyone who loves Young Adult, Werewolves, Romance and the Paranormal will love this one.
Buy this book. Do it. You won't regret it.
