About the Book:
Theia Alderson has always led a sheltered life in the small California town of Serendipity Falls. But when a devastatingly handsome boy appears in the halls of her school, Theia knows she's seen Haden before- not around town, but in her dreams.

As the Haden of both the night and the day beckons her closer one moment and pushes her away the next, the only thing Theia knows for sure is that the incredible pull she feels towards him is stronger than her fear.

And when she discovers what Haden truly is, Theia's not sure if she wants to resist him, even if the cost is her soul.

My Review:
Falling Under by Gwen Hayes is mysterious, has an awesome plot and mysteriously engaging characters. At first, I wasn't sure if I would like the novel... it started out slowly and with a character that seemed overtly apathetic about the story she was telling. Wow, I was wrong! Thank goodness there was something that kept me intrigued -I stuck with it and after the first couple chapters, the story was riveting. Love this book, the characters became extremely likable and I was totally enthralled with the plot.

Though I had a hard time relating to Theia at times, I love that her character evolves throughout the novel. And, as surprised as I am to say this, I enjoyed watching her relationship with her dad. It seemed very real to me. Her love interest, Hayden, just may be your next book boyfriend. He is hot and then cold, and you'll find yourself frustrated right alongside Theia as she tries to figure out exactly who he is and what his intentions are.

This book isn't totally unlike any other Young Adult Paranormal Romance I've read, but it is anything but typical. The author creates a unique realm separate from the one Theia resides in that is creative and I'm hoping in the next novel we get to spend more time there. Falling Under is dark, intense and wonderfully inventive. This book just bleeds romance, the characters willing to make any sacrifice for each other. Never once was I able to predict the events of this novel and the ending still has me a little shocked. Just give me more, already!

I highly recommend this book to any Paranormal Young Adult junkie. Jump on this one, throw it at the top of your to-be-read pile.
