My Thoughts:
Paisley Nichols has worked hard to create her independent lifestyle. She established a successful bakery and now things seem to be getting better for her. But she hasn’t allowed herself a social life in so long due to her broken heart over a former lover. Then a gorgeous man walks into her bakery and she realizes maybe it's about time she focuses a little more on her personal needs. Unfortunately Rasmus Kessler turns out to be one horrible mistake and he refuses to take no for an answer. A simple touch from Rasmus literally leaves her ill and puts her life in danger... She must now seek help and protection from her delicious landlord- who just happens to be a demon.

Paisley can’t deny the attraction to her landlord Iskander, and he seems to be fighting the same. However, his primary concern is to keep Paisley out of harm's way. Our dear Paisley is discovered to  have a little secret of her own and things become critical. What Paisley thought was initially a simple stalker case gone wrong turns her world upside down and she is thrown into a world she never imagined existed.

This book is great! I enjoyed learning about a new breed of the paranormal and the characters are fantastic. This is the fourth in a series, but I read it as a stand alone. This storyline has amazing potential and I can't wait to get my hands on book five. It offers the perfect mixture of romance, adventure and tension throughout. My only qualm is that at times it seemed difficult to keep track of the point of view. The story seemed to jump a little bit between the two main characters' thought process, although it didn’t deter me for long. I would definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading more by this author!
