My Review:
Megan Flynn has found herself in the beginning stages of love with Detective Cole Williams. She couldn’t be happier, that is of course until Cole arrests her brother for a horrific murder. It’s amazing how murder can change a relationship, especially after her brother is not only convicted of the crime but sentenced to death. Of course the connection of her to her brother caused a little problem in the beginning for the Detective, but he had no problem ripping Megan’s heart to shreds when he told the press there was nothing serious between them. However, Megan doesn’t have much time to mend her broken heart as she spends every waking hour searching and investigating the murder she knows her brother didn’t commit.

Her search for his innocence is going on 2 years and time is beginning to run out. Megan has managed to ostracize herself in her local community with her personal investigation. Most people have come to the conclusion that she has completely lost her mind. In all the time she has spent she has hit nothing but brick walls. That is until she is thrown in the path of a sadistic killer with a style very familiar to the murder her own brother has been convicted of. She is determined to find a connection that could possibly save her brother and prove him innocent. But it’s a race against time, and she finds herself on this nearly impossible mission with none other than the very cop who arrested her brother and broke her heart, Detective Cole Williams.

I have to say that Beg for Mercy by Jami Alden is incredibly hard to put down. It is extremely fast-paced and had my attention the whole time. I fell into the pages of Beg for Mercy- so bold, intense and totally gripping. It has an intriguing twist to it that had me guessing right up until the end. The characters are fantastically three dimensional and the suspense is almost palpable. A great book. If you love romantic suspense, read this book!!

  1. Ooh, sounds like a good read, and I'm intrigued by the role Cole has to play in being torn between his feelings of Megan and upholding what he believes is justice. Definitely think I'm gonna have to check this one out. Thanks for the rec!
