Book Summary:
The year is 2032, sixteen years after a deadly virus—and the vaccine intended to protect against it—wiped out most of the earth’s population. The night before eighteen-year-old Eve’s graduation from her all-girls school she discovers what really happens to new graduates, and the horrifying fate that awaits her.

Fleeing the only home she’s ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Separated from men her whole life, Eve has been taught to fear them, but Caleb slowly wins her trust...and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.

My Thoughts:
Eve by Anna Carey is frustrating and completely engrossing. That being said- I have fallen in love with yet another dystopian novel. This is my genre of choice right now, though I'm still looking for an author to blow me out of the water with some refreshing dystopian idea, Eve is incredibly satisfying. If you love the tragedy of Young Adult Dystopia- buy this book. I'll read it again when I purchase the finished copy.

Now, I have to say that though I loved this one- Eve is a hot mess. She makes the most infuriating decisions, constantly putting those around her in danger. There were many times when I wanted to smack her for being so silly, but I love her nevertheless. Though Eve had her moments, the evolution of her character throughout this novel is marvelous. I loved watching her open her eyes to the society she is running from.

The world and society that Anna Carey created is nothing short of amazing. She did a wonderful job and her writing style is one that I prefer. There have been a lot of people complaining about the ending... I adore the ending. Never saw it coming, it made me drop my jaw. Great twist, love where the author is taking this series.

So, if you love your dystopian- read this one! I'm itching for the sequel.
