Book Summary:
The Hell’s Angels are a gang of werewolves who have escaped from Hellsgarde Federal Penitentiary. They were the ones who tore the Confederates into submission at Gettysburg for Lincoln, thus ending the Civil War. Now they’ve headed West—to join the legions of other ghouls.

Armed with an arsenal of weapons, the deadliest being Marshal Angel Coffin, notorious ghoulhunter Uriah Zane must stop the hordes of shapeshifting creatures pushing west. Together, Zane and Coffin must stop the werebeasts from attaining final dominion over the earth—with humans as their servants...
Quick Thoughts:
Dust of the Damned by Peter Brandvold is a fun mesh of alternate history, western and urban fantasy. This book is a pleasant surprise- I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason it didn't get quite as many stars is because I'm not a big western fan, but I can't deny the awesome that is the alternate history.

I can honestly say that Peter's writing often captivated me, I felt like I was apart of the story. I have quite a few guy friends that I am super excited to recommend this to!

The plot is bloody and fast paced. The story and characters are well written and easy to follow. If you are looking for something different than your typical urban fantasy or you've been craving some alternate historical paranormal fiction- pick this book up. You won't regret it!
