Shannon's Thoughts:
Bloodrose is the final installment in the Nightshade series. Like the second book, Bloodrose picks up right where Wolfsbane leaves off.  Calla has rescued her pack, including Ren, from the Keepers.  Now they are on a race against time to collect the pieces of the elemental sword that Shay will wield against the wraiths in the final battle between the Searchers and Keepers.

Calla is a great protagonist even if she can't make up her mind between her love interests!  She is strong, a leader, and fiercely loyal to those she cares about.  I did get really tired of Shay and Ren's jealousy and fighting.  It is truly tiresome.

However, the action is nonstop and leaves you breathless.  I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.  And the final battle is not without sacrifices and losses.  The author does not hold back any punches.  And oh boy.  That ending. Those who feel very strongly about this series will be devastated.  But I take that as a  sign of a great series if it can impact you that much.

You will want to read both Nightshade and Wolfsbane before reading Bloodrose, but it won't take you long!  You can really read all three as one long book because there are no breaks in between the books. And the endings of each will leave you craving the next book anyway.

Overall, this was an immensely entertaining, super amazing, intense series!  I highly recommend it.  I am so enthralled, I read through all three books in less than a five days!
