Book Summary:
Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.

That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.

Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.

But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

Shannon's Thoughts:
I recently read Hex Hall and was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed it.  I was even more surprised when I read this second book in the series and loved it even more than the first!  I loved the change in location, which gave Sophie a chance to bond with her father, get back in touch with Archer, get to know Cal better and spend more time with Jenna.  All of which I thoroughly enjoyed.  Also, Sophie cracks me up.  I literally laughed out loud at a couple passages.  Her wit and sarcasm just doesn’t stop and her quips were on fire in this sequel.  Some crazy stuff happens and things aren't as they seem, but Sophie is desperately trying to get in touch with her "inner demon-ness" and figure out a way to save her friends.  If you liked the first book, you'll love this one.  I really recommend checking this series out.

Books in the series in the order they should be read:
1. Hex Hall
2. Demonglass
3. Spell Bound
