Top Ten Tuesday: Series I'd Like to Start But Haven't

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

1. Razorland Series by Ann Aguirre
First of all...it's dystopian (I can't get enough of this genre) and it comes very highly recommended.  The last book of the series comes out in October, so I can get all them in a relatively short amount of time.

Enclave (Razorland, #1)  Outpost (Razorland, #2)

2. Ashes Trilogy by Ilsa Bick
This is another highly recommended series with a final book coming out this year.  Love being able to finish series in a short amount of time.

Ashes (Ashes Trilogy, #1)  Shadows (Ashes Trilogy, #2)

3. Wintercraft series by Sarah Burtenshaw
Good ole High Fantasy.  Something about this series interests me - it's almost like paranormal high fantasy.  Plus the covers are mysterious and gorgeous.

Shadowcry (Wintercraft, #1)  Blackwatch (Wintercraft, #2)  Winterveil

4. The Selection series by Kiera Cass
This book is EVERYWHERE.  I feel it calling to me even though I am not sure I will be able to handle the plot.

 The Selection (The Selection, #1)

5. If I Stay series by Gayle Forman
I believe this is only two books, but I've heard nothing but good things about it.  I think it's high time I cross this off my TBR pile.

If I Stay (If I Stay #1)  Where She Went (If I Stay, #2)

6. All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin
This series sounds crazy cool - and it's dystopian!  Yay!  Plus I love kick-ass heroines and anti-heroes.

All These Things I've Done (Birthright, #1)  Because It Is My Blood (Birthright, #2)

7. Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent
Banshees!  Neat.  The only draw back is that is it 7 books long!  But at least the last one is being published this year so if I love it, I can finish it.

My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1)  My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers, #2) My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, #3)  My Soul to Steal (Soul Screamers, #4)

If I Die (Soul Screamers, #5)  Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)

8. Possession series by Elana Johnson
Another dystopian series for my addiction.  This one is also finishing up this year.  So many series are ending!

Possession (Possession, #1)  Surrender (Possession, #2)

9. The Chemical Garden series by Lauren DeStephano
Another highly recommend (dystopian!) series.  The final book just came out and I have all of them on my Kindle now so no excuses!

Wither (The Chemical Garden, #1)  Fever (The Chemical Garden, #2)  Sever (The Chemical Garden, #3)

10. Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer
Admittedly, I wasn't very interested when the first book came out.  Even though I generally like fairy tale retellings, I like I was a little put off by the word "cyborg".  But then I kept reading good reviews and now I am really wanting to read this series.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)  Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2)

  1. Agh! I completely forgot about Razorland! I also have Ilsa Bick's ASHES in my TBR and left that off my list. Too many great books out there - I need a slew of reading vacations to tackle them all.

  2. what awesome picks and yes adore razorland series. Read the selection and if I stay-- I love Gayles books

  3. Great list, most of them are (or should be) on mine too! I love the SELECTION and definitely think you should check that one out.

  4. Razorland was also one fo my picks. It sounds simply amazing. I've only read the first book in the Ashes Trilogy, but it was excellent. I need to read Shadow soon. Great list!

  5. So many good ones! LOVE Razorland and All These Things I've Done, both strong female characters. I hope you love them when you eventually pick them up.

  6. Oh man. I'm looking at each of your picks and nodding along. They all look so good!

  7. Yes! Give Cinder a try! It's really good. I need to read the Chemical Gardne series and the Possession Series, too. I'm loving this meme because I'm realizing that I'm not the only one who hasn't read the popular series! :)
