Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list  that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2013

Shannon's Picks:

This list was pretty easy for me to do.  I feel like this year books I've read were either AMAZING or they weren't.  More so in previous years.  Or maybe I'm just more discerning.  Either way...here is my Top Ten:

1.  Storm and Siege by Leigh Bardugo
I worship at the feet of Leigh Bardugo and her incredible Grishna trilogy.  The second book was every bit as awesome as the first.

Siege and Storm (The Grisha, #2)

2. Where She Went by Gayle Forman
I truly loved the first book, "If I Stay", but something about this sequel really got to me. I think it the idea of how much grief touches everyone involved and what it means to be left behind.

Where She Went (If I Stay, #2)

3. Cinder by Marissa Meyers
I put off reading this book for so long but I ended up loving it!  It was literally the most fun I've had reading in a long time.

 Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)

4. Scarlet by Marissa Meyers
Not to be outdone by "Cinder", this sequel was even better!  I loved the new characters and the new adventures.

Scarlet (Lunar Chronicles, #2)

5. Dark Triumph by R.L. LaFevers
This is another awesome sequel.  Or really, more like a companion book since it takes place roughly at the same time as the first book, "Grave Mercy", but told from Sybella's POV.  I loved getting to know Sybella and thought this was an excellent addition to the series.

Dark Triumph (His Fair Assassin, #2)

6. Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
This book was different than I was expecting and I think that's a good thing.  I loved this fantasy world and the characters.  I thought Rachel Hartman did a great job with her dragons.

 Seraphina (Seraphina, #1)

7. My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
I adored this book.  It was the perfect summer read and gave me warm fuzzies, which is not an easy feat to do.

My Life Next Door

8. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
Yet another amazing sequel.  I think I liked this one better than the first too?  I'm not sure.  But I do know I loved it.

Unravel Me (Shatter Me, #2)

9. Prodigy by Marie Lu
Aaannnddd another sequel. Man, there have been some really awesome sequels this year so far.  Marie Lu broke my heart with this one.  Luckily she has one more book to put it back together.

Prodigy (Legend, #2)

10. The Space Between by Brenna Yovanoff
This book was just cool.  It was atmospheric and well done.  I loved the demonology and how she used all the demon myths and stories.

  2. I need to read Where She Went. If I Stay only just missed my list today, such a heartbreaking story and I want to see where her life goes.
