Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Mass is thrilling, genuinely romantic and perfectly action-packed. This is an absolute must-read for lovers of epic fantasy. If you have not read the first in the series, make sure to pick it up! The first book is just as flawless as the second- you don't want to miss out. Though honestly, Maas is such a wonderful storyteller that you could get away with starting the series with Crown of Midnight.

This story has it all- brilliant, addictive characters and a dark, enchanting plot. You're going to be sitting at the edge of your seat while you read. You're going to be holding your breath and rooting for Celaena. There are dangers at every corner, but Celaena just keeps moving. I love when she snaps. Just wait until you see her snap. Yikes. And the chemistry between Chaol, Captain of the Guard, and Celaena is undeniable. It pops off the pages and their feelings are just as vivid as the colorful world that Maas paints for us.

And I have to say- I didn't like Dorian much in Throne of Glass, but his character has evolved in Crown of Midnight. I like him in this book and his reactions to Celaena and Chaol surprised me. I thought he was going to have a temper tantrum, I was wrong. The other characters are just as breathtaking. They're funny, frustrating and evil. Great mixture of personalities.

Crown of Midnight is exciting and brutal and I can't wait to read it again. Maas is one of my all time favorite storytellers! Fantasy junkies, get excited, you're not going to be disappointed with this one!!
