Top Ten Tuesday: Covers I Wish I Could Redesign

Top Ten Covers I Wish I Could Design
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish

1. I don't like the way the girl is sitting and I can't figure out what is happening with her hair or why she is holding her arms like that.

Level 2 (The Memory Chronicles, #1)

2. I hate the way it looks like she's staring at his chest.  They just look creepy.

Losing It (Losing It, #1)

3. Again, with the chest.  I appreciate a good male chest, but this just seems creepy with him looming over the city like some half naked god. It's like Jacezilla or something.

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)

4. I hate both versions.  The first is so weird and not how I pictured Calla at all nor does it seem like it has another to do with werewolves.  The second looks like a 7th grade photoshop project.  These books deserve much better covers.

Nightshade (Nightshade, #1)  Nightshade (Nightshade, #1)

5. I don't like any of the Mythos Academy covers really, but this is my least favorite.  Who still wears chokers?

Crimson Frost (Mythos Academy, #4)

6. It's not a bad cover, but the model is a dead ringer for Belle on "Once Upon a Time".  I find it horribly distracting.

Where She Went (If I Stay, #2)

7. For whatever reason, I thought I was going to read a Sci-Fi book.  (This was before I knew the authors).  I blame the cover.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson

8. Full Confession:  It took me a long time to read these books because the covers made them look so cheesy.

Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1)

9. This one is just a little TOO on the nose.  It reminds me of 90s YA covers.  I need more lens flair or something.  And stop looking at me Lola!

Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2)

10. I loved the first two covers (see below) but then this clunker came along.  Could be it any more boring?

Shades of Earth (Across the Universe, #3)

Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2)

  1. Loool, yup, Lola is definetely staring. I completely agree with Will Grayson. The cover is simply too boring. My TTT

  2. Yeah Lola does look a bit weird on that cover. A bit freaky! Great choices.

  3. Losing It is a terrible terrible cover.

  4. Losing It is an awful cover, kind of creepy! Shades of Earth, I'm not even sure where to begin with that one, such an awful cover and what possessed them to then redesign the other two; those covers didn't need a redesign! My TTT.
