Top Ten Tuesday: Book That Will Make You Cry

Top Ten Book That Made Us Cry
Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish

1. Any book with an animal in it.
I KNOW how it is going to end.  With me sobbing and in a fetal position.

Old Yeller
*The Ultimate Sad-Animal Book.

2. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
There were multiple parts that reduced me to a sobbing mess.

3. The Book Thief by Markus Zusack
This is another one of those books that gutted me.  It was so beautiful, yet so hard on my heart.
The Book Thief

4. Champion by Marie Lu
First I got chocked up at the ending and then again for a different reason at the epilogue.  I was heartbroken in a good way.

Champion (Legend, #3)

5. My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
I did NOT expect that ending.

6. Changeless by Gail Carriger

7. Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs

8. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)

10. At Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost

At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3)

  1. I totally started banning books involving animals (it might have been after Where the Red Ferns Grow) because you just KNOW they are going to be depressing! Also I can't believe I forgot to add that to my list. I think it was so traumatic my brain repressed all animal book memories. And The Book Thief and Harry Potter definitely made my list as well - I don't think I've cried harder than when I read those two!

    1. Right? I've been tricked into it one too many times.

  2. Great picks! My Sister's Keeper made my list too, such an unbelievably emotional book. Deathly Hallows pretty much makes me sob from beginning to end! My TTT :)
