Life of a Blogger: Restaurants

LIFE OF A BLOGGER: Restaurants

Life of a Blogger is a weekly meme by Novel Heartbeat.  It gives us a chance to talk about non-bookish passions and interests.

I am one of those people who find something or someplace I like and then eat the crap out of it.  I also tend to have one dish that I eat over and over at each place.  I feel fairly lucky that we have some great ethnic restaurants in Seattle, especially in the area that I work near the University of Washington (U-District).  I have a few restaurants I eat at so often they know my order (which is slightly awkward).

One of my favorite places is called Guanaco's.  It is an Salvadorian restaurant and mainly serves pupusas and tacos.  The kitchen knows me so well they often start cooking my food the moment they see me.  I am very predictable.  Haha.

Another place I eat at a lot is called Cedars, which is an Indian restaurant.  I always eat there with a my co-worker at least once a week and we both always order the same thing (Channa Marsala for me, Butter Chicken for her with a side of plain naan.)

Other places I go include a deli, a teriyaki joint, a thai restaurant and Qdoba.  Annndddd, now I'm hungry!

  1. Man, we need to live closer together! Most of my friends are such bummers about eating out - my roommate wouldn't even try Thai food. Yes. Thai food. Americanized Thai food for goodness sake! And I've never had Salvadorian food (I imagine it's at least similar to Colombian?) but that sounds awesome!!

    1. Not even...Thai food? Wow. I think most people in Seattle regularly eat Thai/Indian/Pho. There is a Nepali-Tibetan place I want to try. Also maybe Ethiopian. Oh and this Moroccan place I've heard good things about. So many options, so little stomach space. :D

  2. I'm hungry too! I've never had Salvadorian food. It's something I need to try for sure!
