Top Ten Tuesday: Book Related Problems I Have

Top Ten Tuesday is an original weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Book Related Problems I Have:

1. My neverending TBR list.  It just sits there and taunts me.  And no matter how much I read, there is always a tsunami of books waiting.

2. Having to choose between reading and tv.  Both are loves in my life.  At night, when my daughter is in bed...what do I do?  Read?  Or watching TV with the hubby and play on my laptop?  The struggle is real.

3. Feeling jaded.  The more you read (especially in YA), the more things start to sound the same.

4. Not knowing what to say when reviewing a book or not being able to properly articulate my feelings.

5. When my library does not have new releases available.  C'mon!  It's the last book in a series, you have the first two, it was released a month ago...why don't you have it???

6. Not enough shelving for books.

7. Rereading your favorites from childhood and not liking them as much.

8. Book related drama. Any drama that involves authors, bloggers, etc.  This is why I stay off of Twitter.  It is a breeding ground for drama.

9. The ecstasy and the agony when you finish a beloved series.

10. When a book lets you down.  Whether it is due to hype or being a black sheep, there is nothing worst than being excited for a book, only to end up disliking it.

  1. Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!

Amen on the TBR pile. I usually read WHILE watching TV. Whichever one I'm interested in more wins out on where the majority of my attention goes. It's a struggle because Husband has the TV on ALL THE TIME. 100% amen to feeling jaded. I did an entire post about this last week--repetitive themes. And truthfully it's mostly because I'm feeling jaded. I hate when my library is random with a series. Like it'll have book 1 physical book, book 2 audiobook, book 3 it doesn't have at all, and then book 4 it has physical book again. What the crap, right? I too have re-read a book from my childhood and it wasn't as good as I remembered. That was definitely a sad day. Amen about the drama too. I don't want to be ignorant, but at the same time, it's just too much sometimes. And I completely agree about 10 too. I've put off finishing a couple of series that would count toward the Series Enders Challenge just because I'm scared they'll let me down!

    Great list Shannon!
